Help You Make Decisions
Time is definitely of the essence in this busy world that we live in and there are a huge amount of often overwhelming decisions to make during a renovation and design process.
A designer can save you hours by helping you to make decisions on the room layout, style, furniture, fabrics and finishes, along with the extra hours you might otherwise have to spend trawling the shops or the internet for those perfect light fittings, door handles, hinges, tiles, grout and so much more.
A good designer will take the time to get to know their client; their likes and dislikes, how they live and how they want to use the space in their homes. This not only ensures that the end product is beautiful but also that it is the perfect space for their client’s individual needs.
I got sent a copy of a brilliant article written by ‘Esther from the Spike’ entitled Interior designer – how to find one, how to work with one. She writes a great piece on why she eventually chose to work with an interior designer (a small breakdown due to ‘an arsehole builder and a mix up between wall and surface mounted taps’) and hasn’t looked back.
‘If you have to face down a renovation project and you have no clue where to start, consider getting a designer on board. It’s not just for blow-dried ladies from Notting Hill Gate, I promise. ‘Designer’ is something of a misnomer – the right designer will design or not design as much as you want. It’s not nearly as expensive as you fear and will save you heartache, time and money’.
The vast majority of my clients have never used an Interior designer before appointing me to design spaces in their homes. All have been extremely satisfied with the experience and of course the results. In fact most of my lovely clients have been so happy that they have gone on to retain my services to design more amazing spaces in their homes.
As one of my clients testified:
“Highly recommend! Never done anything like this before. Cat talked us through the options with no pressure and was flexible meeting us around our schedule. She very quickly got a feel for what we liked and the mood boards reflected this. Cat kept in regular contact, updating us and popped in regularly to monitor progress after co-ordinating all the trades people. So pleased with the result and will definitely be engaging her services in the future!”
So if you do have that space that you are desperately wanting to renovate but don’t know where to start, please do reach out to have an initial chat – designers really aren’t that scary!
